If I have a DVD/CD-ROM drive in my laptop, does this mean that it burns a CD abd only reads a DVD? A friend at work has a Dell laptop with a DVD/CD-ROM drive. He wants to make disks from his video camera. I told him I thought that DVD/CD-ROM meant that he could not burn DVD's, that he would have to burn onto a CD. Was I correct? If so, are there any guides on this forum to help him create videos off off his camera?
It's hard to say. What is the make and model of the burner? You can find out what it is in Device Manager.
