Thanks to Fasfrank on a previous thread, I figured out how to split using dvdclone.

Last night I split a dvd-9 into two disks successfully, but the result is that both disks came out stuttering and full of artifacts...impossible to watch. Since dvdclone is very streamlined with only a few moving parts, what might be the problem here?

Again, no error messages during the burning...according to dvdclone, everything went well.

media: dvd+r Maxell (i know...verbatim, fuji are better)
burner: new Memorex 16x (i know...too late, already bought it!)

Since I'm using dvdclone, I've decided for the moment to install Roxio 8 (cause I like the cd program), and not Nero (and also wiped Nero). Could Roxio have created a wacky conflict?

    thx again....

Thats "Yes" to Roxio causing a conflict?

Roxio is considered a packet writing program?

I should state that I used dvdclone to copy to a single disk with great success just before I tried splitting. So if Roxio is causing conflict, why wouldn't it conflict when I copy to a single disk?
