Hi, I had Dvd-cloner II on my system that I bought a long, long, time ago before I knew of Anydvd and CloneDvd2, and all the other useful programs out there. Anyway I saw where Dvd-cloner III was out and since I still had Dvd-cloner II on my system I figured I'd give it try since I could get it for the upgrade price$ I made a backup copy of my most recently purchased movie The Exorcism of Emily Rose. I used T-Yuden 8x media, write speed 4x. It copied fine. But when I played the movie after about 10 minutes I got a Green Screen and my Dvd Player froze (had to unplug it). Anyway I also used AnyDvd and CloneDvd2, copied fine, played fine. So my question is Dvd-clonerIII Crap or not Crap. Anybody tried this software yet ?? Thanks........
I've had DVD Cloner 2 was garbage to me , wouldn't get it. If they have a free trial version, maybe you can try it out first.
wow i'm glad im not the only person that got dupped by dvd clonner II...it's a total waste of money..i'm surprised you were even able to make a dvd using that program..as soon i would hit start it would freeze on my system...also somehow its ranked #1 on some website..go figure..
I feel your woes: I just recently got a DVD-Cloner III, which claim to be able to burn onto double layer blank dvd's, however, I have tried the following media: verbatim, memorex, sony, ritek, tdk, and maxell and DVD-Cloner III have failed to burn on all these media. So, I know all these types of media cannot be bad. I am using the philips 8701 DVD burner which support double layered disk.
DVDCloner III is a poor quality program. You can do more with the free programs DVDdecrypter, DVDFab decrypter, DVDShrink, DVD43, and imgburn. Should you want to purchase a program then AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 are excellent and make excellent backups. With these listed programs (I have all but DVD43), you can backup anything out there. Cheers.
you are right and some nut job has rated it number 1 on the software reviews website: http://dvd-copy-software-review.toptenreviews.com
I am going round and round w/their tech support. The problem I am having is on some movies the program will just shut down. I have had correspondance with their tech support for a week and after letting them know that i have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, they on 3 seperate occaions have asked me to uninstall and reinstall the program. they are not reading they are just gernerating an auto response. I have now emailed a manager still waiting on the reply. Which according to their web page should take up to 6 hours, it has been 48 we will see. Don't buy
buddy just move on & stop wasting your time i went on the same wild goose chase..face it they got your money..now move on some better programs like clonedvd2 & anydvd..its pretty much all i use now..i used to use dvd shrink...but clonedvd2 gives the best picture hands down...good luck.
once they got your money, they really dont care what issues you are having with there program............. I think its time for a change as movies27 states Why not get shrink, dvd decrypter, dvd fab decrypter, vso disvx to dvd.All proven software that actually does do what its stated and relatively cheap as well
Ive used clonerII for a long time with great success, ugraded to cloner III, big mistake, crap! Now after joining afterdawn, I've learned so much. There are lots and lots of software out there. Ithink this clonerii&iii messed up my system, cuz no copy software works right now, trying to work through this whole mess.
Uninstall it. Defrag the HD and install better software. I have used DVDcloner II and have only bad things to say, so I'll keep them to myself. I now us DVDdecrypter, imgburn, AnyDVD, CloneDVD2, DVDshrink almost exclusively. You can do anything with a combination of the above programs. Cheers.
DVD's still not backing up after defrag, unistall all copy soft ware, ran registry cleaner, and install new versions. DVD shrink ran only to 51% analysing. then stopped with a end program to a non responsive program. backing up is not hard, but this really frustrating!!!!
