    I noticed that DVD Cloner III new version is out. Has anyone tried the upgrade yet? Does it provide any versitility? Ability to control burn speed?

    I don't know...I only use DVD Shrink. A friend gave me Nero 7, and have used it a couple of times but DVD Shrink is still my main prog.

    @LOCOENG

    Yeah, that's what I was looking at this a.m. I was wondering if anyone had tried it yet. It really does not tell you what the version upgrades do other than generalized statements.

    @tmfloria
    Not in my opinion. I have DVD Cloner II and its value to me is negligble. DVDShrink, CloneDVD2 are far better. That's why I was asking about changes in this new version.

    I HAVE THE V.3.1 AND IT GREAT IF I BURN DVD9 TO DVD5. THE THING THAT DOESN'T WORK IF BURNING ONLY THE MOVIE. THEY DON'T COMPRESS TO FIT IN DVD5. OTHER THEN THOUGHT I THINK IT IS O.K.

    a few points about this cloner3, shrink, recode2,clonedvd2.
    1-cloner2 or 3 is crap.
    2-clonedvd2 is great handling corrupted files and to reathor. but when the compression is high, it doesn't do so good.
    3-shrink sometimes need help from either, vobblanker,fabdecrypter or anydvd. but when one is willing to give it that help, it is second best picture quality producer, only outmatch(by very little)by recode2
    4- nero recode2, again needs help but if you get it the help, it is the best transcoder outthere.

    I would like to learn AnyDVD and CloneDVD programs. This is what I did: I used AnyDVD 5.9.6.1 and saved VIDEO_TS in my hard drive (as I always do), then I used CloneDVD to encrypt. When I try to burn it using CloneDVD, I get this error message: "there does not appear to be enough space on the disk to burn this image. Image size: 2,285,908 sector Disc size: 335,923 sectors. Would you like to continue anyways? Yes or No." I must be doing something wrong by getting such a big sector size. Please help on this and I am very new so baby steps will be very much appreciated. By the way, I usually use DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink and I never had any problems with other videos. Now I have to try these new softwares (completely ignorant on this) because I am trying to copy Narnia and Chicken Little. Those movies won't work with DVD Decrypter + DVD Shrink. Anyone?? Also, if anyone can tell me where I can get AnyDVD and CloneDVD tutorials, please let me know. caritoarias@hotmail.com

    @ caafter. just do this. rip the files to the hard drive with fabdecrypter(free) then use shrink to compress and decrypter to burn.
    if shrink can't(very seldon this happen)open the files ripped with fabdecrypter, then run those files thru vobblanker(free), before using shrink.

    Thank you elizerroj. If you do not mind, is there another way to do this using the softwares I already have? (AnyDVD, CloneDVD, DVDDecrypter & Shrink DVD). Downloading more programs (vobblanker and vobblanker) and learning them again is getting kind of complicated. If there is no other way, then I will follow your suggestion. Once I get home, I will try that. Where can I get a tutorial to configure AnyDVD and CloneDVD? - thanks,

    Hello arniebear. Thank you so much for the tutorial. Hopefully this one will be better than the one I already have: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?threadid=72022. In case you can help me this is what is happening.... When using CloneDVD2 section, right after it creates the DVD file (before writing...) I get this error: "there does not appear to be enough space on the disk to burn this image. Image size: 2,285,908 sector Disc size: 335,923 sectors."..... I read in different forums that AnyDVD+CloneDVD2 will work for Chicken Little & Narnia. I get the same error when trying AnyDVD + ShrinkDVD + DVD Decrypter to burn it. :(

    335,923 sounds like the size of a CD-R. You must insert a recordable DVD...

    I agree it sounds like the wrong media. If/when you get it sorted here is a guide

    This is for doing DVD Title, i.e. main movie only

    [IMG]

    Browse for your file and open

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    Make sure your settings are correct

    [IMG]

    Uncheck any audio you do not want, i.e. do not keep anything but 5.1 or 6 channel.

    [IMG]

    Choose your output, your drive or HDD and make sure if it is your drive you have selected the correct burn speed.

    Thank you everyone for your help. I made it work. And yes, I had in my dvd drive a CD rather than dvd. Somehow that CD-R was mixed with all my blank DVDs and I was not aware. My frustrations are all gone :)

    Did you actually use CloneDVD2 to do Munich with that much compression? If so, how was the output? I usually stick 90% to 100 % with CloneDVD2; down to around 70 to 75% with Recode2 (advanced analysis, etc); and anything lower gets Rebuilder with CCE (3 pass)...

    @teflonmyk

    No I had used these pics in another thread where a person stated they were having troubles with Clone and Munich to show how to do it. I used Recode with advanced analysis and AEC of Max Smooth and also RB and CCE, which is the best. I never completed the movie with Clone so I have no idea how it would come out, lol.
