DVD Compession query

    I recently have started backing up my DVD collection and I was wondering if there was any software that could compress it down so i could keep it on my hard drive and open it later or do I need to buy a bigger drive ????????????? PLEASE HELP

    try using dvd shrink to compress you files and read the guide to get better compression. And it's FRREEEEE!!

    Hi Zany,

    You don't want to compress it any more than you would for the actual burning, about 4.36 GB, so you can just use DVD Shrink.
    It doesn't take long to fill even a large hard drive with a bunch of movies. I bought an external so I can store a few movies and other stuff. I think I have about 4 or 5 movies on it, They won't be there long though.

    The best way to store them though is to just get them onto a disc.

    Exzactumundo! just print'em and get the hell outa DODGE! That way you don't clutter up your harddrive.

    Hey fasfrank..I'll race ya to the block and back. give me a head start though since one of my tran'n wheel's fell off.

    Me, I got a little USB Hard Drive too, I think I've got 30 or 40 movies there right now. (200GB) he,he
