I purchased the DVD Complete bundled with the Dazzle DVC 100 which contains the basic Dazzle programs, OnDVD, DVD COMPLETE, Dazzle Photo editor and the like. Well the DVD COMPLETE was the program that I really wanted (DUMMY ME EH?). It works fine up to "BUILD DVD". First of all, it doesn't even show my Light-on DVDRW SOHW-832S burner in the Disc box (nor the HD). Then when I click on Build DVD,(copy to the hard drive for later burning) it goes about 23 seconds and fails with a "MEDIA MUXING" failure. MY SYS:--
AMD 3200+ Athlon XP Processor, 512MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM memory, 160GB 7200RPM Ultra DMA Hard Drive, DVD+/-R/RW 8x double layer drive with CD writer capabilities and Processor speed 2.20GHz, 512KB L2 cache, 400MHz front side Bus. AND a Geforce FX5700Le graphics card. Why doesn't this thing work?

I'm not familiar with the programs you mentioned, however, the Media Muxing failure is due to non-complient DVD files. For example, your audio samples could be in the wrong format or your video size is wrong. In either case, your bitrate is to high.

Thanks for the info Dolphin2. The programs I have are not the top of the line, but they came bundled with the Dazzle DVC-100. I believe you are right about the bitrate because the program simulates the movie but had problems building. I had to try a "trial" Author program from the net and it did the same thing, EXCEPT it told my WHY it didn't build. When I lowered the bitrate, it completed satisfactorily. Now I can keep what hair I have left that I didn't tear out. I think the creators of these programs should understand that most of us "almost" computer literate people do not know these things and it was not in the manual.

Glad you kept your hair! Ha, ha.

Some programs try to be everything to everyone. Most fail. They either are too simple or too complex. The ones that are the most successful are the ones that fall into the middle. Anyways, don't get me started! Ha, ha.

Were you able to burn the DVD without problems now?
