DVD controller problem

    Hi. We got an XBox second hand a few months ago complete with DVD playback kit. We've been playing DVDs no problem, then recently the remote control stopped working. The DVD intros play fine but I can't select any of the menus or even play the actual movie. I tried using the games controllers too (don't know if they can be used to control DVD functions?), but no result. Games still play fine.

    Any ideas?

    daft question but it got to be asked :p

    batteries?!! im sure u checked em but just asking....

    ....other than that, errr, probably just a duffed up dvd playback kit.
    shake it next to ur ear and is there anything rattling or anything strange??

    i guess u just get a new one, but id stick with dvdx2 :D

    If the remote is broken , you can use an Universal Remote...I use an RCA and works like a charm.
