dvd conversion programs

hi can someone please recommend the best programs to convert original dvds to good quality avi xvid or mpeg thanx
and state wether the programs are free or not
also i just need a program to convert the main movie to the above video formats not any extras

ive had no luck with this program cant get it to work also it seems it only converts individual vobs and u have to open them seperately to convert

 

Maybe you can ret trial version of winavi.
