I'm trying out the trial version of Intervideo DVD Copy 3.

Will it work with DVD Decryter or Any DVD??

When I tried burning a movie , message came up saying it can't copy

protected movies. I wanted to see how DVD copy 3 's picture quality was.

Again, will it work with decrypter or any dvd and how do you make it work??

InterVideo 3 will not copy any new dvd's with protection code. It will back up movies only with better picture and faster quality wise in result. You will need "DVD43" (YES...it's FREE and it will work), Any Dvd, DVD Region Free+CSS, DVDIdle Pro to bypass the protection code. As far as Decrypter with InterVideo 3, this, I have no clue on how to combo them 2 programs. However, if you're going to test out InterVideo 3, then I suggest you to download "DVD43" latest version 3.5.3.113 (it was updated a few days ago) - this should be able to handle any new protection codes, even the latest from Sony ArRcoSS will be simple. If you're not going to use DVD43[this is FREE], then try to get the free trial from Any Dvd, DvdIdle Pro and DVD Region Free+CSS. I've used Decrypter and DVD43 in the past and still currently use them. These 2 are the best FREE software that's cracking protection codes available now -- believe it or not, they're both awesome. If you have any issue using DVD43, then let me know and I'll give you some hints so you can be a happy camper.

By the way, DVD43 will work on WIN2K and XP only.

you can also use decrypter , just select decrypter's output location as the source in dvd copy 3 and follow the rest of the steps in dvd copy 3 . i do it that way all the time . i have also used anydvd with dvd copy 3 . i have not had any problems doing it that way either , but others have . i never used dvd43 , so i cant comment on that app . if it does all the latest css systems , than there should be no problem with that app either . one thing i dont like about dvd copy 3 is there is no way to slow the burn speed down . it burns at the max the disc is rated for .

    dlc2000,
I don't like the fact that DVDCopy3 only burns at max either. To get around this problem I make a new folder on my hdd and then select it as the target and burn with nero. Still faster and better quality than dvd shrink.

    Hello Mort81,

This was one of my comments in the 1click software forum, that there's a lot of wonderfull software out there, but I hate them all JUST because they burn at MAX SPEED.

I was also answered, if you need to choose a whole bunch of options, it's not longer a 1click thing :)

DVDXCopy, 1ClickDVDCopy, DVDCopy3 etc.. all burn at max speed.

Too bad for them, I use the free stuff, DVDShrink and DVD Decrytpter.

    Hi cougar,

You're right if you are particular about burn speed and don't have anydvd or dvd43 running in the background but other wise it is truely one of the simplest apps I know of and IMO is easier to set up than shrink (not to mention better quality and faster). Big disadvantage is it's not free. Anymore you almost have to use dvd decrypter, anydvd, or dvd43 with shrink as well. I have to customize or fine tune about any of them anyway to fit my taste. Take care.

    Mort & cougar,

You guys say that DVD copy 3 burns @ max speed.

I use Ritek GO5's which max speed is 8X.

    What if I used Go4's which are max @ 4X ???????

    Hi dabig25,

If you use G04, it just might work.

    My NEC-3450a (Dell OEM)
Nero provides me a Max Speed of 4x on those Ridata (RitekG04).

But I still prefer to burn at 2x with Nero.

I'm not 100% sure, but phillips and benq are made by the same company and my benq will burn some 4x media at 8x and some 8x media at 12x if set at max and not speifically set to burn at a slower speed. So all you can do is try it and then use nero speed test or disc quality test to verify burn speed.
