DVD copy plus is not that great IMO, I don't want to burn my movies on CDR disk, I want them on dvd r disk.

I have manage to rip a couple of movies on my computer, but I dont know how to put them on a dvd r so I can watch them on my home dvd player. Can some one break it down for me and let me know the next steps I need to do. Ok the DvD is rip riped to my cpu, what software do I need, what format do I need to convert it to in order to make backup copys of my dvds. Sorry Im a total noob

    hi

never used that app, i use dvd decrypter for ripping and dvd shrink for compressing to fit a dvdr5 size

if your files are ripped to hard drive then load to dvd shrink for compressing, when you hit backup button a screen will popup use dvd decrypter for burning

    both apps free..

there are other ways but i am not going to confuse you, yet! hehehe

first get used to this and we can talk other things about quailty and better apps etc...

To rip and burn DVD movies from original disks you only need two free programs DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink available at http://www.filepedia.com look under rippers. You will need some guides and these are two of the best.

    http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/backup with Decrypter&Shrink.pdf

    http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/petesguide3.html

If we are talking movie files you have downloaded then these will need to be converted best program I know is DivXtoDVD it is free and available here

    http://www.vso-software.fr/download.htm

Guides for conversion compressing and burning available here
