    Hi all,

I'm strickly a newbie, so just have a couple of questions.
I've copied about a 10 or 12 movies so far,, and about half of them playback. ( all work on my pc but only half on my stand alone ). I'm using either cloneDVD or DVD-cloner, I have both. Not sure why some play and some don't,, the ones that don't start, jump from frame to frame with no sound. I'm using RCA DVD-R discs ( not sure how good they are ), could these be my problem ? I'm playing them back on a denon1720 DVD player.

Also, if I'm copying a live DVD concert,, ( like the Eagles ) , its a 2 disc pack, and if the first dics has to be compressed to be copied,, does the compressing effect the outcome of the music playback ? Because if so,,, then I would surely split it into 2 disc as the music playback is the main reason for the copy.

Would love to have help from people with the experience. Thanks

First off I would check www.videohelp.com they have a list of what media will work with what players, etc.

I would try some known good media like Sony, Verbaitum, TY's and see if that helps.

Also make sure your burn speed is low (2x,4x) if it's too high it might be causing the skipping.

As for the concert DVD, the only one i've done was U2 Live from Slane Castle in Ireland and it turned out fine.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong here.. i'm not 100% sure =) DVD Shrink will shirnk the video not the audio....
