I have read many of the postings re copying and as a result have ordered xcopy. Two questions one, which media format is best for archiving(I use a an external sony burner that supports all types(DRX500). Two, I just found out that roxio has a new product (version 6) with some dvd capability but I wonder if it comes close to xcopy. Just came out a few weeks ago, and hard to tell from the website if it will burn a perfect copy of your dvd.

Well the media I cant really say much for because I havent tried much! DVDXCopy kicks ass and not a lot of software can compete with it but other good software includes DVD2ONE (Basically puts the dvd movie on one 4.7gb dvd-r) and DVD95COPY (basically dvd-9 to dvd-5!)

I concur with Dela on this issue. most people are using a combo of DVD2One (encrypts the vob files), IFOEdit, MakeItEasy and to burn DVDXCopy.
