I tried to rip a backup copy of my new movie Bobby Z and when I did so it decrypted in to 4 different folders, 3 of them are 26-29mins and the last was 9minutes. can anyone help?
I think what happened is you are looking at VOB files. Use File Mode to do this movie and make sure all the files are selected. Now, there is a full screen and widescreen version on this disc. Use VobBlanker to blank out one of the two and this movie will not need compression.
You have ripped the movie in .ifo mode. If the movie is larger than 4.38GB, you need to rip it in 'file' mode and if it's 4.38 or smaller, rip it in .iso mode. Open DVDD . . At the top, click 'mode' . . . On the dropdown, make your selection
Just like catfreak says. Launch DVD Decrypter with the disc in your DVD drive and go into file mode. Press the following keys on your keyboard after DVDD is launched to enter file mode: alt m f Then, take note of the destination and press the disc to HDD button. After this launch VobBlanker and open the ripped DVD with it. You will see that there are TWO versions of this movie on the rip. One if full screen the other is wide screen. Preview to figure out which one you DON'T want. Then highlight then, click on that PGC and select "blank". Now, process the movie. After 5 - 10 minutes, the movie will fit perfectly on a DVD5. Launch DVD Shrink and open the DVD Folder. Then use the "Save ISO Image and Burn with DVD Decrypter" option. DVD Shrink will take 2 - 3 minutes to create an ISO and then it will launch DVD Decrypter (or ImgBurn depending on how you are set up) and burn the ISO. Before burning, launch DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn and make sure you set the burn speed correctly in the write mode. Burn at 1/2 the rated burn speed of your disc or 4x!! If you have 16x DVDRs, they are probably going to be rated 12x with your drive, so burn them at 6x or 4x, but NOT faster!! This will prevent most problem with the discs not working. You can avoid more problems by using quality media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim.
