A newbie to the functions of DVD decrypter. Have used it to decrypt and copy a DVD to my HD and looked at the .vob and .ifo files to determine which ones were the main movie files and which were add ons (as I understand them).

I used Roxio Drag-to-Disc software to move the complete Video_TS folder with my .vob files and the .ifo file over from my HD onto the new DVD, verified the files were in the Video_TS file on the new DVD and finalized the disc. When I tried to play the DVD using Power DVD all I get is a blank screen that shows the word "Play" then "Stop".

I can watch the individual .vob files so I know they are the movie files I need.

I know I am missing something here but I just can't figure it out and I don't have access to the guide to DVD decrypter to find out exactly what.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

I really don't know about Roxio, but i am assuming that drag-and-drop maybe burned the disk as data?
jut download the little DVD Shrink and encode the files and then burn with DVD Decrypter.

DVD Decrypter burned gret all my DVD backups! Again, i am not familiar with Roxio, but i can't remember hearing any good words about it around here. As for DVD Decrypter+ Shrink, it works great, especially if the movie is a little older!

cbcaper - you'll need to let us know what movie you are talking about. The movie may need to be ran through DvdFab, VobBlanker, or both. All programs are free.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions.

Will take a shot at using Shrink with Decrypter and see what that does for me.

    Movie was Bambi II.

Just wanted to say thanks for the help on this issue. I now am able to copy my "purchased" DVDs for backup purposes :0). The combo I used was Shrink along with my Roxio burner...as I don't have Nero software. I also learned a lesson....look at the movie title before copying...it seems that on DVD 9 discs with multiple movies, they sometimes double one title and I had the same movie twice on one disc. Took care of that and learned a lesson, look before you leap.

    Again, thanks on this issue
