DVD Decrypter and Ripit4me

I'm using Ripit4me along with DVD Decrypter. The problem I'm having is when Decrypter begins to load the DVD or decrypts the entire DVD, I get an error message saying Failed to set data for DVDDecrypterPlayDVDMovieOnArrival

What needs to be done to get this error message to stop popping up?

 

Is this happening with all of your DVDs or just a certain one?

 

Yes, it does it on every DVD.

 

Make sure the target path in RipIt4Me points to where DVD Decrypter's executable file is loaded on your computer. The defult is C:\Program Files\DVD Decrypter

 

@Princedvd-I found this answer on another thread different forum, here is the link http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=77874, here was the fix,Right clicking on the DVDDecrypter.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility -> and checking "Run this program as administrator" appears to have resolved this problem for me.

Strange, I'm running the last version of DVD Decrypter, but when I look under Compatibility I see mode settings for which OS is being used, display settings, and input settings. Nothing about running the program as an administrator. My program runs for anyone who cares to use it.

If you doubt my word, I can supply a scan of the DVD Decrypter\Properties\Compatibility window.

I notice your post was made in March and DD closed the DVD backup threads in May (according to the post by admin). Seems anything referring to ripping and doing movie backups is closed at Digital Digest. I'm a member and I can't access the link supplied. Leaves me wondering how it helped DaRedEye.

I can't see how that fix can work. There is no button to "run as administrator" in decrypter preferences. I can post screenshots to prove it {/content}

Why the humor? "My" in the sense that the program is loaded on my PC. I'm not claiming to own any of the programing on a copyright level. I commented because DeRedeye said there was a fix and when opening the suggested window, there is no such setting (at least not in the version of XP I'm using). As you may know, most errors with RI4M are made in the Preferences settings.

Glad you finally admitted it. Your little vendetta is childish. The material I edited out was unnecessary, no need to change it otherwise. Anyone clicking the link to DD finds out the ripping threads were closed in May. Try to understand English and stop reading things into posts that weren't intended. All I said was that I didn't see the fix DeRedeye claimed finding.

No, I was off to have a soda and upload a scan. Here is the quote from DeRedeye's post.

The OS is XP Pro. Though some may think it's a piece of crap, it's the best that's been offered so far. Granted Linux is free and less prone to attack. If Linux became the most popular, the hackers would be all over it. It's a choice of what's most flexible and usable with the more popular programs. As you can see, I not only knew where to look, I was able to find Run As as well as Properties plus supply a scan of what I found to support what I said.

Actually I would. The author got his butt in a wringer for writing an illegal program and pulled the site and program. Like DVD Decrypter, it can be found around the net. You can get the last download from Softpedia. As for illegal distribution, you can ask Janrocks, aka deadlove, about her distribution of the program. I don't deny I supplied a download of the app, but I wasn't alone in doing so. Janrocks had a download from one of the "share" sites. There is no such thing as a legal download for that program as Lightning UK no longer has rights to the DVD Decrypter ripping software. DVDD is as illegal as illegal gets. And without DVDD, RI4M is worthless. By the way, I claimed no copyright to any programs, I was just passing them along as others have.

I realize that you still harbor the animosity from Janrocks' earlier attacks and chimed in because Janrocks (aka deadlove) did. I guess in the future I should ignore your posts if that's the attitude. You're being a misguided follower. I commented on an improperly stated fix and you and janrocks want to make a big deal of it. So be it. The fix read:

Yes... I did correct that the quote wasn't made by DeRedeye, but he said he followed it.

It should have read:
Right click DVD Decrypter -> Click Run as ... -> Select The following user: Administrator.

As shown there's a lot of difference between the Run As window and the Compatibility selection in the Properties window.
