I've been using DVD decrypter forever and no problems, then suddenly I am getting errors after It tries to do the lead-in. I have updated firmware, bought verbatim media and no change, CD-rs also won't burn anymore. Nero tells me power configuration error. also is it normal to always get the lock volume error? I used to always just click ignore. anyways here is the log from decrpter..., any help would be awesome.

    hi

i think it pionts to drive? not software, now could be bad drive but i would plum for checking drivers and dma first! then move on to a firmware upgrade for the drive (use DvdD in options to check firmware updates)

get latest ide drivers for your mobo from the makers website

check DMA is enabled in DEVICE MANAGER

You may also want to get version 3.5.2.4 of dvd decrypter too, from here:- http://teammodders.com/download.php?action=file&file_id=1

    here: http://xtreme-source.com/main.php?c_id=download&action=file&file_id=17

    or here:
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_dvd_decrypter/

... and also, install wnaspi32.dll into the windows\system32 folder from here:- http://www.nero.com/nero6/en/WNASPI32.DLL.html

Then in the dvd decrypter tools menu, select settings..click the I/O tab and where it says interface, select ASPI - WNASPI.DLL and then click ok.

i have nero's ASPI, but decrypter still uses microsoft's SPTI by default. is ASPI better (i guess more stable) than SPTI and therefore preferable? i thought that ASPI was the older interface?

    just curious.

i am sort of new to decrypter, so please humor me if you would... do most users of decrypter check the options for removing prohibitted-user-operations on the various "mode" tabs in the settings menu? or leave them unchecked? i typically use clonedvd2 & anydvd, and if my memory serves me correctly anydvd does remove PUOs. which software has a better burn engine, clonedvd2 or decrypter? advice, opinions?

    thanks!
