Deleted because the people here are so far stuck up their own @$$, you can't tell where they start or end. Please ban me cause I do not wish to provide any more assistance to this forum. Your highly opinionated theories of how a forum should be ran are not only idiotic but, are outrageous too. I came here to help but, evidentially I was mistaken in thinking I would be welcome here to help! There is one person here that I wish would leave this piece of chit forum. (That would be Car.Mike) [bold](Mike, your more than welcome to come to DD!)[/bold]

Yalls solution to everything is "BUY ANYDVD!!!". That is such a crock of horse chit! May I suggest in appointing moderators that actually know what the phuck to do and how to handle problems correctly. (As far as I know, "banning" is not the solution to everything. But, apparently it is here!

Yall can take this crappy @$$ forum and shove it up someone else's @$$ that isn't already brainwashed!

    [bold]GOODBYE AND GOOD RIDDANCE![/bold]

I just downloaded DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter and already ran into some troubles. The Shrinker worked, and I put in my blank disc and though the Decrypter was going to work, only to get this error:

. . . and so on. I just read something bad about Sony Discs with this, and it turns out that's what I was trying to burn to. Is this the problem or will ImgBurn resolve whatever issues I'm facing. Also, if I do install ImgBurn, do I need to keep Decrypter installed on my computer?

Huuuummm, let me get this straight, you set yourself up as the "Creator" of DVD Decrypter ? You also took his name because you certainly weren't the Lightning_UK I knew and, I believe you maintained a site you called the "Home of DVD Decrypter" where you solicited funds for your "work".

Though I don't sea that DVDD site anymore, I sea a slight shift in sites, (though the artwork is very similar) now you're using a name change to ImgBurn.

Now, iffin' I read this correctly, you are the "Creator" of ImgBurn complete with "Official img Burn Website" and again, here you are, soliciting again to carry on "your" work.

Did you bother to ask the real creator of ImgBurn for his permission to steal monies in his name ?

    Hi juliaguli,

Sony is a fine media, continue to use it BUT you really need to control your burn speed.

    1. Burning at a MAX level is enough to cause a failure on it's own BUT trying to burn an ISO Image at MAX speed, even if you have a Pent. 4, with a 3.2 GHz processor along with 2GB of RAM is crazy. When burning an ISO Image, dial that "Puppy" back to 4X.

If you don't have the PC specs I outlined then get back to me with your specs, and we'll sea what we need to do to get your burning under control.

When you are burning ISO images, it is extremely processor intensive. My guess is that you are resource starving.

I sea you're using a Sony burner, let's check to sea if you have the latest Firmware upgrade.

    Flashman's Firmware tool (FREE)
This is a handy little tool for detecting your drive's Firmware version, Download and run this tool:

    http://flashman.rpc1.org/Firmware/DVD-CD_firmware_detect.exe

We need the most up-to-date Firmware so that the drive can see the disc.
Remember, we need your PC's specs ~

    Pete

(1)jmet3 your quote in your post.
If everyone who likes my program donates $2 (or whatever they can afford), I'll be able to pay my legal fees, get more drives working and add more exciting new features!

(2)as per your message to ScubaPete
you should have taken it to a pm,not in a open thread.

For the record - I think jmet was just trying to let everyone know that Lightning UK! had released ImgBurn. The post seemed to consist of the text from the front page of the ImgBurn site and that seems to have caused the confusion here....

I have known jmet for a while and its not his style to impersonate Lightning UK! As for the site - it IS official, I was contacted by LUK before he launched it on my personal mail address to let me and the other beta testers know what he was up to.

Please be in no doubt that this is the real deal.....

Retarded question here as it is still early. Is imgburn written by Lightning_UK!(the real one) or is it something that the parasite jmet ripped off of someone?

EDIT Nevermind, I went back and read the whole thread. Need more coffee.

    @Cynthia

imgburn is not a commercial program, rather a free one with a possible donation if you like the program etc.

It burns iso images and a few other image file types, using an enhanced version of the dvddecrypter 3.5.4.0 engine as written by LIGHTNING_UK (the author of both the programs listed above)

Imgburn does not read iso images or decrypt, it merely burns your projects like decrypter used to.
