It then says it's inserted dummy sectors when necessary. What's this and could this be the reason why the original keeps freezing when trying to play it. Would copying with the dummy sections possibly fix the problem or not?
Hey there 2tall, The "dummy sectors" it is refering too is how the ARccOS encryption by Sony works. It shows that DVDD is doing it's job correctly. Be happy and do not worry. As to your problem that the original freezes ~ that would seem to indicate that the mfgrs pressing of that batch of discs is a faulty one. Return the disc to the point of origin and request a new one as the one you have doesn't play THEN hope for a disc from a different batch. As they say, Caa, Caa happens Cheers, Pete
Hey, I'm having problems copying (ISO read) with DVDD. Its a new DVD (HITCH) and i'm getting problems with structure protection. Do i just get DVDD to ignore these sectors thats it fails to read? Scuba Pete, i made changes to the settings in DVDD outlined on your website, but it still seems to be doing the sam thing. I noticed tick boxes in relatio to structure protection, do they need checked. Thanking you in advance, Animalhaz
