I recently downloaded dvd decryptor v.3.5.4.0 so i can put it on my creative zen vision:M, i already have the file dvd shrink, decrypter and iriverter, when i put a dvd into my dvd/cd rom and it will decrypt the files i want but when it reaches 67% it slows right down to 0.0 and completly stops, it trys a re-entry but that fails as well is there some settings i need to adjust? more things i need to download or is this file not good enough? please help me ASAP
two things could have happened...... you are trying to rip a newer DVD using DVDDecrypter that hasn't been updated since June of 2005! the newer movies have copy protection that causes DVDDecrypter to have CRC errors (reading errors)! Or the other thing might be that your DVD is dirty with fingerprints, smudges or scratches that stop DVDDecrypter from reading the disk properly.... clean the disk and try again. but if you're trying to rip a newer DVD using DVDDecrypter..... then try this, RipIt4Me......this is often updated and the PLS files make DVDDecrypter work on all the movies! download the programs and follow the guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/360110, if you want a free ripper that is often updated then try DVDFab Decrypter: http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm
Gee Wizz mate your a pro at this... thankx a mill if i need any more questions answered am i welcome 2 ask????
sorry about this but after i ripped the file ( looked like it successfully finished) ripit4me said this seems to have aborted, and iriverter has the same problem but gets to 21% with a poor 21.57fps with 173 mins remaning how do i fix that
did you read what I said .... if it wasn't ripping then it could be the newer DVDs did you try cleaning the disk? or it could be a bad pressed disk and you need another one from the store! what movie are you trying to copy?
yes i cleaned it, and i borrowed it from a friend and the dvd origannly comes from a rental store so i doubt its a bad disc and im trying to copy hustle and flow
just because its from a rental store dont mean the disk is good to stop at 67% is unsual for copyright protection so i'd say the disk is damaged try reading using dvd shrink,...have the latest version of anydvd running in the background if you need to. or just try playing the disk at the point where you think it might stop clean the disk with furniture polish/soft cloth first though ripping it with the recovery tool isobuster is another option you can try
