I'm trying to use dvd decrypter but when I use the program to copy the dvd to my computer only a .iso file and another file without any path is copied to my computer. From what I understand I should be getting something with a .dvd at the end of it and write that to my media. Any help with this is much appriciated, thanks.

nope, that guide is out of date. You should get a ISO and a MDS file.

Click the Guides tab at the top of the page above. There are multiple guides for different programs.

the iso's are right around 4,180,500 kb. I checked to make sure the dvd's where dvd-5's so from what I understand I should only have to use dvd decrypter right

yeah im an idiot and i guess i should have mentioned this earlier, but when i go to burn the mds file it says 'device not ready (medium not present)'. im using memorex dvd-r's and i have a philips dvd+rw drive if that helps at all. Am i using the wrong media?

If your drive only burns + media, it will neither recognize nor burn -R media. If the drive is older it could be a dedicated +R drive rather than dual format.
