I wanted to ask another ?uestion to the true DVD+R DL pros out their. With thanx to all of your help (ALKOHOL, KIVORY666, 2OLDGEEK, WOLFNIGGR) and others if not mentioned. I have successfully burned(I mean)[BACKED UP] a store bought DVD to DVD+R DL disc.

I wanted to ask if it is possible to use DVD Decrypter 1st to decrypt a entire dual layered DVD (entire movie, extras, subtitles, audio, etc) to my hard drive. Then after that as completed could I 2nd, open p ImgBurn, put my DVD+R DL disc into my burner, and then do a mode, ISO, WRITE (and still be able to choose the MDS file from my hard drive???)

Let me know if any were able to do this successfully, or if it not possible? The reason I ask is I feel more trustworthy as how ImgBurn continues to get newly updated, since I'm one that always likes the updated versions.

I just don't know if I can only WRITE ISO files using ImgBurn and don't know if you can also write MDS files?

Let me know if you pros. were able to do that? Also, is their a way to follow up w/ e-mail with members/pros in the forum, or is their e-mails unlisted or not displayed? I would like to correspond with the pros on mastering the craft of DVD+R DL discs, and live on checking and corresponding with e-mail during my day job. Let me know I appreciate corresponding with the proper and kool other bros so we can learn together. Thanx!!!

    Hey digit777

Yes you can use ImgBurn to write your ISO files, it works the same way as DVDDecrypter, written by the same author, Lightning UK.

If I remember correctly, ImgBurn 1.1.0.0 gives you the option at installation that lets you tie it in and when you use Decrypter it will use the new burn engine from ImgBurn…

To clear your thinking – The .ISO file is the main movie, The .MDS file is not very large, about 5kb or so, and it is all the information that is needed to burn the .ISO file, layer break, etc. for a DL disc. Therefore your not burning the MDS file, it’s telling the program you use, how to burn the ISO file……

Hope that clarifies it. If not, you can find me….

Oh, by the way don’t post any e-mail ad’s in the forum, it’s against the rules.. Just PM, that is Private Message to the member…. You have that ability in your account here on AD.
