Hey everyone. I think that DVD Decrypter is one of the best programs for copying DVD movies to your computer. Its worked great on just about every DVD I've ever tried to copy to my computer, but I've noticed that the newer DVDs have a new type of copy protection on them called suspect. This type of copy protection tells the laser in the DVD Rom Drive to stop working (Only When Copying The DVD)witch disables the DVD from being copyied. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if there is any other type of program that could remove the suspect protection so even the newer DVDs can be copyied too, or if there is another way to copy the movie by manually removing the file that the copy protection is located in before trying to copy the DVD.

Yep, what Gwendolin said. DVDFab Decrypter or AnyDVD does the trick in every instance that I have encountered to date (knock on wood).

@aftd, I am unaware of any new encryptions that either DVDDecrypter, DVDFab Decrypter or AnyDVD cant handle. Are you saying you have encountered something new that we should know about.

For ripping any "ARccOS or RipGuard", I used DVD Decrypter, PgcEdit, VobBlanker and so far I've never encountered any issues. And of course, they're all FREE.

so is DVDFab Decrypter in conjunction with DVD43 and FreeDVD and that has never provided an issue to me, most of the time i only need DVD43 and Shrink because DVD43 can handle pretty much all protections aside from macrovision, which shrink can handle...

When I tried to copy the Be Whitched and Sky High DVDs The DVD Decrypter log said For The Be Witched DVD, One area has been marked as suspect, and the Sky High DVD It said 2 areas have been marked as suspect. Then when the DVD Decrypter started to copy the files that were marked as suspect It stopped copying that file. I guess there is some kind of copy protection in those files that tells the laser in th DVD Rom Drive to stop working. Even the light that indicates the activity of the Drive Stops Blinking and the drive stops making the noise it normally makes when your copying a DVD.

The latest versions of DVD43 and DVDFab decrypter and AnyDVD will handle the encryptions on Bewitched.

Make sure you have the latest versions.

@aftd, as I explained earlier in your thread as yet there is NOT any secret new encryptions that we do not know about. Both those movies can be backed up and there are several threads in the past that has addressed ALL problems associated with these 2 movies. I suggest you go back through these threads and have a read and you may solve your problem

Alright I'll do that. By The Way I know this is off the subject but do you like to play NES/SNES/SEGA/N64 Games. If so I can give them all to you for free. You can even use Game Genie/GameShark with these games. And you'll be able to play them right on your computer. I even made a step by step configuration guide on how to use everything for the NES Games. Screen Settings may vairy depending on your monitor size I've only tested the screen settings on a 20 Inch Monitor. So the screen resolution will be different for a smaller or larger monitor.

Heres a link to some old threads that may help you back up Bewitched. In this thread there's 2 links you should check out. Good luck http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/252041

There are also threads relating to Sky High on pages 16 and 19 in this forum, I hope you refer to these as it took a while to locate.

if you are referencing to emulation, even if these games are old (but still great) they are still under copyright from Nintendo etc...
therefore their distribution may be considered illegal...

that is only if that is what you are talking about, if not then i am sorry - please forgive me...

Yes thats what I'm talking about, but I highly doubt you'll get in trouble for having them. There are people that I've read under review that have had these games for over two years and still didn't get in trouble for having them on their computer. Besides I'm giving them away for free I'm not getting any money for them. Copying DVDs is just as illegal but millions of people are still doing it every day. Arent you copying DVDs too? So any way if you would like to have them I'll give them to you.

I don't know what your talking about, I was only trying to be friendly by giving away something for free. I didn't see any harm in doing it. If you don't want me to I won't do it anymore.

I didn't think that what I was doing was illegal cause I payed for those games. I joined the website www.ezmp3s.com, and payed for a 2 year subscription. They told me that as long as I was paying for the site,That I could download unlimited Music, Movies, Games, and Software Programs 100% Legally. They even gave me the Lime Wire software to get all of these things. Thats how I found out about DVD Decrypter. They gave me that free as a members bonus directly from their site. Thats why before I said that I didn't see any harm in doing that.
