Need Help! Ok, so i downloaded this decrypter so that i can copy dvds and such then make other copies. I successfully decypted and copied a dvd onto my computer, and with the same program it has a function to then write to DVD. However program does not support the file formats it decrypted into. I'm sooo helpless.. here are the formats that is decrypted into: .VOB, .BUP, .IFO ... and theres a bunch for each.. and the writer only accpets the regular ones like .avi, and such of sorts... i don't know if anyone can guide me in the right direction, or i'm hopeless, in which case whut is the best suggestion to do what i want to dooo?
You ripped your DVD in file format and DVD Decrypter only burns in iso format. Depending on the size of your file you may need to compress your movie down to fit on a single layer DVD. Here is a guide and a site for software on using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. However, these are old programs and cannot handle the newer protected movies. You are better off ripping with DVDFab Decrypter and then running the file through Shrink and burning with whatever program. http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/backup with Decrypter&Shrink.pdf http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/backup with DVDFABDecrypter,Shrink,&Decrypter.pdf http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/software.htm You may want to add VobBlanker to your programs as this is sometimes needed for stubborn protections. ok, so i have the shrinker and i have made an image that is like 7gigs... i have DVD shrink 3.2, but whut options do i need to choose to shrink it?
after opening the files with shrink click on the backup tab a box will pop-up giving you a list of options select where you want the image file saved to. click on the arrow under the select back-up target option, choose either create iso image or create iso and burn with dvd decrypter if you want to burn your iso image with decrypter.once you have made your selection click ok and the program will do the rest.one more suggestion, read the guides posted in the forums, you will find they will answer most if not all of your dvd related questions.i have learned everything i know about dvd video from them and the good folks who post to these forums.
