I'm trying to help my friend use dvd decryptor on her computer. She has a dell laptop with a cd-r/rw/dvd drive on it. Alas, that's all I know about it. When she tries to use decryptor it gives her a message saying "device not ready: proper media not installed" or something to that effect. If anyone has any ideas, Me and my friend would be more than grateful. Thanks.
Make sure she has the right drive picked in DVDD (if she's has more than one). That message usually means the drive can't recognize the media. Is this an original or back copy of a DVD? Make sure the firware is up to date also. Without the model # if it just lists cd-r/rw/dvd she may be able to only rip the movie to her hd but not copy it to a dvd. There's always VCD's if that's that case.
It seems that ur friend has a Cd burner DVD reader combo. Which means she can ripp the DVD to her hard drive but can not burn it too blank DVD's. My question to u is are u runing anythin in the background like DVD43 or AnyDVD etc.. and also it can b bad media
hi yes is it an original dvd? also do you have any packet writing software like InCD from nero loaded? and as mentioned if trying to burn she doesnt have a dvd burner!!!
If she does not have a DVD burner then there is no way for her to nurn the DVD. if she has a DVD Rom combo drive there mayb a way but the soloution is to put it on the hard drive only and also if she wants to put it on external media she has to put it into VCD format
