I am trying to rip Lemony Snickets on to my computer. Continuously, I get an error at exactly 51% of the way complete. It is an I/O Error, which I have not experienced before. It says a bunch of other things, including, INTERPRETATION: Uncovered Read Error. Can anyone help?
By the way, I am able to play the DVD on my computer, so could that mean that the disc has no problems?
Check out this thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/182487 Note: [bold]Lightning UK![/bold] is author of dvd decrypter
that person was writing dvd's. i am getting the error while reading the real DVD and trying to copy it to my hard drive.
Are there scratches/smudges on the disc? What kind of burner/dvd-rom are you using? Using the newest version of decrypter?
The DVD disc is completely clean, no scratches or smudges. The burner/DVD-Rom is a "Lite-On DVDRW LDW-851S". I am not using the newest version of Decrypter. I am using version 3.2.2.0. of DVD Decryter.
Using the latest version of decrypter may solve your problems. You can download it here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_decrypter.cfm When you either in Mode/ISO/Read or thru Mode/File, go to Tools/Settings...click on the tab labeled "I/O", tick "Ignore Read Errors" Let us know how it turns out...
I upgraded DVD Decrypter to the newest available version. And now I can successfully rip the DVD to my hard drive. Thanks for all the help. But what do you think the problem was within the older version of DVD Decrypter?
Some newer discs have been a problem for some older version of decrypter. It could've been a bug...who knows? Glad to hear it worked out...
