Ok I got DVD decryptor. All I had to test it out was The O.C. Season two( I know lame....but it is my girlfriends). So I popped in disc 1. I selected one of the episodes from the list and ripped it to my HDD. I then played the file and there was no audio! Why is that? Did I do something wrong? Any help would be appreciated as I am a newbie to this and don't really know what I am doing.

Well you were right. I downloaded that codec pack and the sound works now. But the issue now is I have to turn the volume up so much to hear it when it is on the HDD that I get tons of feedback and crackeling noise. How do I get rid of that?

You may first use gspot that comes with K-Lite to check the properties of the video. Chances are its audio is ac3. If yes, then run the tool 'fixcodecs' and select 'boost ac3 volume' to see if you get better sound.

    Good luck!
