I've riped and burned many dvd's using dvd shrink and dvd decryptor. I've always burned the .iso to the blank disc, but I've started to see some posts where it says you should burn the .mds file to the dvd instead of the .iso. Why is this because when I rip using dvd decryptor it will create the .iso and the .mds but the .mds file is only 1kb in size. I have not had any problems with burning the .iso file and unless someone can explain why the mds is better. I'm not going to risk burning a 1kb file to a 4.5 gb dvd.
I've also noticed that in the new versions of dvd decryptor the program actually warns you not to burn the .iso and burn the .mds instead. I always change it but should I?
