DVD DL quick question

    I purchased a dual layered dvd burner recently and went to backup a movie using CloneDVD2

    My question is, I noticed the quality was at 44% but if i put in a dual layered disc it could get it straight to 100% without any hassle

    But do dual layered dvd's play on dvd players?

    Most times they will play OK in stand alone players. I have burnt about 20 so far doing it the same way you are and every one of them have played problem free in my 3 stand alones. I have only used Memorex which code out as Ritek but no coasters so far only burn at 2.4x.

    the one i just picked up burns DL @ 5x (Samsung TS-H552U), which is pretty good for the money spent, so i'll try backing up a movie onto a +R and see the quality, and move to DL if necessary I guess
