Hi ya, Could anyone let me know what DVD's would be best to use with my Matshita DVD-Ram LF-d310 drive, I am backing up PS2 games and some DVD movies onto these. Also I have Nero v5 and wondered if it is pretty straight forward to copy a DVD which is already on a DVDr to another DVDr (just a straight copy).

I would be very grateful for anyones help.

    Thanx!!

Try downloading DVD Decrypter [it's free]

    ---> http://www.dvddecrypter.com/download.asp <---

Just open it , Read ISO then when it's finished Write ISO. I use this method particularly for PS2 games although it's okay for movies too [once they've been authored to 4.36Gb].

Nero does copy on-the-fly quite well as long as you dont have both DVD drives on the same IDE cable : )-

I use Nero 5.5.10.20 very successfully on my Pioneer DVD-RW 104 , but that is a completely different drive so who knows.
There is a Nero compatibilty chart for different drives on their website I seem to remember (http://www.nero.com/en/#recorder it says that your drive is supported by Nero v.5.5.5.7 or above). So all should be good for you in Nero.
There are always other options tho.

    Peace

    Me Again,

I'm not trying to be a pest! I have had a little look around the forums to see if I can find a guide for Nero in copying DVDr to DVDr as mentioned in my preivous thread, but I cannot find one (on the fly like you said). Do you happen to know if there are any guides, it seems quite straight forward looking at Nero, but being a girl, I feel a little wimpy trying without instructions...

Thank-you again for all your help x

    Sarah,

    Nero on the fly guide:

    Open Nero with the Wizard
    DVD
    Copy a DVD
Select source drive (DVD-Rom drive not recorder drive here)
Tick the box 'fast copy on the fly'
Select Speed on next page & if prompted burn 'Without Multi-Session'

    DONE !: )
