Currently whenever I try to burn a disc (whether it is a DivX movie with convertxtoDVD or a copy using CloneDVD) the burnt discs cannot be read when inserted into computer drives, and in DVD players they say that the disc is dirty. I am using quite an old burner (pioneer DVR-107D) and I think that this is what is causing the problem. Is there any way that I can fix this or do I need to get a new burner?

You could look to see if there is an updated firmware for that burner, or you could try different media, or do both.

    What media are you using?
