Help me, Obi Wan Kenobes; you're my only hope! Bulleted stats: Machine: HP Media Center PC Symptom: Drive won't read discs - blank, burned, official, CD or DVD. OS: XP Drive: TSST Corp CD/DVDW TS-H55L2 Burning software: VSO ConvertX2DVD I have already: -Gone into the device manager to update drivers (up to date) -Uninstalled the drive (it reinstalls fine on reboot, still doesn't work) -Deleted Upper/Lower filters (no change) -uninstalled/reinstalled ConvertX2DVD -ran a virus check (all systems normal) When a disc is inserted into the drive, the light on the front flashes - but not as long as it used to when it would read the disc. And then, of course, when I go into Explorer to check if the disc is being read (naturally, AutoPlay does nothing, since no disc is being recognized) no disc is present. There is a secondary CD reader drive that I've always used to play CDs and such that is also not recognizing any discs I put into it. This is actually the only thing that makes me believe it isn't just the burner crapping out finally. This all happened 2 days ago, at which time the burner functioned perfectly... until it didn't. Thanks in advance for any advice!
