I keep getting "failed to load the map" erorros in Halo 2, and often i will be disconnected from any xbox live game 'cos the laser will skip on the disc or something. Some people have recommended buying the Blazer DVD Laser Lens cleaner for $12.99, others say i should just buy a new DVD drive or a whole new xbox. My Xbox is really old, bought it on launch day, so i think i may have one of those crappy Thompson drives. My question to all of you is, should i buy the laser cleaning kit, or buy a Phillips, or Samsung dvd drive?
my friend had the same problem. he got his xbox the month it came out so his is old too. he uses like one of those cleaning disc every two months and it works for him.
