dvd drive not spining correctly,help !please....

    i have a PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-K17LF ATA,
    the thing is the dvd's i try and back up are not spining
    freely they spin bogg grind and finally stop.
    i backed up dvd's before w dcrypter,shrink & img burn,
    any help would be appreciated...

    Sounds like your drive has gone to meet it's maker. Under warranty?

    i still can burn cd's and dvd's its reading the dvd on shrink or decrypter get this or it finnaly starts to copy theni get get an error.can a virus cause this?

    Don't despair too much ramon194 as that I hope you do have at least some sort of protection from internet nasties.......you do don't you?

    Throughout the burning process, it would be nice to know the "way" you backup your stuff. The sounds you hear are a drive in difficulty..there's almost no way around this fact. There could be programs or viruses that might cause problems, but I sincerely doubt it buddy.

    Let's get onto better things shall we?
    Post back with this/these/any errors you come across ok? Be specific as much as you can. :)
