Dvd drive not working

    Dvd drive on my laptop is not working, its not reading dvds or when I go to My Computer icon, the drive does not come up. Please help

    go to device manager and see if there are any yellow question marks.

    Do what gamename says as you may need to re-install the driver.
    Failing that click on uninstall in the device manager and then reboot your laptop, it should find it and install it automatically.
    Or it may be something simple like the cable came off inside the last time you dropped it. lol

    I went to the device manager and I didn't see any yellow question marks.
