Right click My Computer and select Properties. You will see a tab called Hardware. Select that tab and you will see a button called Device Manager. Select that and then find the drive, highlight it and remove it. After it is removed, reboot the system and windows will replace the drivers for the drive.

If that does not work then open the case and make sure that the drive is firmly connected and that the power is firmly in place. This should be checked on the motherboard as well as the drive. Make sure the computer is off and the power chord out of the back of the computer before doing this.

Your last option is to try to update the firmware. I am not sure what drive you have. Firmware updates for Toshiba drives are here: http://sdd.toshiba.com/main.aspx?Path=ServicesSupport/FirmwareUpdates

To find what version you have right click the drive under My Computer. Select properties and then the hardware tab. You will see an ID number next to the drive and that will tell you what model you have.

If none of that works then it could be that the drive is shot! Hope you are able to get it sorted out!
