My wife has installed a few programs on her computer...don't know if its the reason why this drive doesn't work but it hasn't worked since. I uninstalled them..and it still didn't play dvd's..I uninstalled the Windows Media (default player she would like to use) and installed the new version and still didn't work..it asked me to get a DVD decoder...I got FFDSHOW (like on my other computer and it works like a charm) and now it gave me a new error.. I did a print screen, here is the link to that.. http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/5972/untitled1oz.jpg Its a matshita ujda750 driver that I need...Can't seem to find it or a solution to my problem anywhere...
I am getting the same error and it is killin me because I cannot find an answer anywhere to how to fix it. I just got finished building a new PC and thought I worked out all the problems then I go to install BF2 (DVD version) and I get a win32 error. I then tried to play DVDs on my drives and was getting the same WM10 error then it would crash. Strange thing is when I looked at the drives from My Computer they didn't show up as DVD/CD-ROMs like on my other computers but just as CD-ROMs. I had Nero and PowerDVD 5 installed. I unistalled NERO and my drives showed up as DVD/RW drives until I put a DVD Movie in then they changed over to CD-ROM and crashed WM10 and PowerDVD5. My drive is a Liteon DVD/RW SHW-160P6S (I know this is not the forum for RW drives but that is where I found the above post with the almost same problem)
