did you see this???? open up dvd decrypter(if you have it)..TOOLS,DRIVE,CHECK FOR FIRMWARE UPDATE, the dvd identifier is saying the burner you have is not recognising the dvd's you have
I find that the best way for the pc to pick up the DVD is by using"DVD CLONE" this picks up the burnt DVD no probs and lets u do wat u want
im not dealing with dvds that have been burnt. im having trouble with the drive/software recognising theres a dvdr in the drive, not a cdr.
i have the exact same problem and the exact same dvd burner and i ran the dvd identifier and i cant find the firmware update for that burner
Find your firmware update for your drive here: http://forum.rpc1.org/portal.php No, it will still try to check for updates, but you should disable this function immediately. There will be no more updates, and you really don't want Decrypter to try to check the server for one. It's a bit paranoid, but the server might keep track of your IP address... which might land you in hot water via a lawsuit. So, open Decrypter, and then "Tools" --> "Settings" --> "Events" --> and then under "On Start-up", uncheck the "check for program update" option. Also, I would block Decrypter from accessing the Internet via your firewall. If you run into a DVD that Decrypter can't handle (as it becomes older and out-of-date), then get ANYDVD and run it in the background while ripping with DVDshrink.
i created another topic about the samething u might find something useful here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/199401 even tho ppl said they got it working but im still to reluctant to try it since i have very limited knowledge about computers.. but tell me if whether or not it works if u decided to try it. maby u can teach me how to do it after u got it working, best of luck
