Ok, I've added both these drives into the search and given credit.

Is there really any difference between the 4 LG models, like is the higher number faster or any better. I was thinking about buying one and I want to know which one is the best. I also cant really find any that are in stock so can i please have a place to find them for cheap. =]

As far as ripping the game discs, they all work the same - very, very slowly. Two hours plus for one disc.

Yes, those are GDR-8160B, which has been reported to work by Wiible.

$25.38 is on the high side though, especially when you still need to add shipping on to that. Let us know how much shipping is if you decide to order.

Don't you guys know how to use eBay? You can get much better deals on these there and all you have to do is click the link I provided.

For example, why not get this 8163B here for about $13 including shipping and get a free powersupply with it, this was included in my search link in the first post:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130173597803

Of course, now that I posted it, you'll probably have to bid on it with others...

Or how about this 8162B for $1, shipping will probably be about $10-15 from Canada. And you get a free floppy drive too.

I thought I made everything clear in the first post!! It's amazing the questions people are still asking me, when it's already been said...

    :(

I have not seen any reports that those two will work. Once again, all drives reported to work are listed in the FIRST post.

After looking around for a bit on eBay, I couldn't find anything that was cheap enough and didn't have many bids. I had bid up to $25 on a drive yesterday and today I saw it went for $42 (816x series).

This store has some 8160Bs in stock (quantity 95 right now) for $25.

Scratch that, they just emailed me and said they sold their last one last night, and there's no ETA on future drives.
