On advise of my PC guru uninstalled NTI DVD maker from my PC so I could install Nero. Once uninstall was complete, my drives will not work. They recommended CDgone. I downloaded the zipped file, unzipped it and got two files with Icons that look like a stack of blue boxes. When I open them there is a bubch of code...what do I do now? They say bring the computer in, but that is a MOJOR pain in the butt. Any advise.

Thanks for the suggestion...had this issue a few weeks ago when I installed a program that was incompatible with XP. I am not getting a error 31 code. It is saying...when I use guided help that the "upper and lower filters" are not there??? I have tried uninstalling in the devise manager and re booting to no avail. Downloaded CD Gone, but I'm not sure what to do with it.
