DVD drives

    Hi.
    Every time i go to use my optical drives for a differnt function i have to reboot my system so they can read the new media.
    Please help.

    Thanks Ripper.

    I have tried this and still no good, i have removed all burning software eg Roxio, DVD decrypter etc.

    Have you had this before.

    Have you tried uninstalling them in hardware manager and then rebooting your pc.

    And no, I havent had it before, but have heard of it.

    Hi Again.

    I have tried uninstalling both drives and then reinstalling.

    Could it be something to do with the BIOS?

    Make sure they are set to boot up in the correct order in BIOS. It should be ok if your jumpers are set right though..

    Get info on this off google. It's must easier then me trying to explain it lol
