    Hi,
Can anyone please help? My SONY DVD RW AW-G170A reads the DVDs, but when i try to write DVD, the following error appears and the disk is ejectyed after 65-67% burning. Do not go by the size to be written. I have reduced it to 4000 MB. Speed 8x. had the firmwares. still the problem continues. Is there any problem with the writer itself? Thanks in anticipation. I have already lost 7 disks....

Are those Moser Bayer discs that you are using? It seems that your burner does not like them, maybe because compatibility(lack of) or because you were burning too fast. I don't know where you are located, but if there are available I would try some Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden or Sony discs(especially those made in Japan by TY).And of course, slow down the burning speed.
