In shrink just go to open files and open the video_ts folder where fab decypter saved the movie. Then process thru shrink as usual. If you have nero shrink will use this to burn automatically after encoding.

If you want/need to compress it just go to Shrink like you normally would. Except you click 'open file' instead of 'open disc'. But if you plan on using a DVD9 then just go to nero.

I appreciated your help on this one, but am running into a snag and haven't found the answer after an hour or so of hunting. If there is a link, I'll be happy to check it out.

I can't get my "The Fog" backed up by traditional means like DVDDycryptor and Shrink, so I tried DVD Fab newest release and it seemed to do it ok, but when I open shrink an the "open files" button like you suggested above, I get an error. I then tried to clean the error with "Fix VTS" which I then attempted, again, to open files in shrink but to another error.

Is there a guide for DVD FAB coupled with Shrink as I can burn from there. thanks, Eric

What is the error. And you can also try running the file through VOBblanker then through Shrink.

Here's link for a guide using from alkohol using fab decrypter, vobblanker, recode or shrink.
If this doesn't work we'll need the error as GlueEater said.

So sorry! Forgot to post the link! It's not that bad really - alkohol gives a step by step guide living little room for error! Let us know how it turns out.

editted to add link I forgot previously:)

actually, I ran the VOBBlocker and it revealed some errors and according the guide by alkohol, it should show no errors. So, I am going home to attempt to do it again. these errors kept me from being able to shrink it as I kept getting an error there too.

If your doing a full backup and keep getting the errors then try movie only. Take the processed files then you can use shrink reauthor mode.

Got it via DVDFAB and VOBBlanker and then Shrink. One hell of a lot way to go, but it worked! Thanks all. E
