I am using these programs to back up different movies and they are working great but when i play them back everything works except the audio is off by just a few sec from the movie. Is anyone else having this problem. DVD Fab 5.2.3.2 DVD Shrink 3.2 ImgBurn 2.4.2.0
The only time that I have ever had audio sync issues was when encoding to .avi files. I have never had this issue when doing a straight back-up. When using DVDFab as your ripping software, you should run FixVTS prior to processing with DVD Shrink. This will help clean up any structure problems left from ripping. It is a free program and very simple to use. Try that and see if it helps any. It may also benefit you to preview the outcome on your computer prior to burning only to find out that you have audio problems.
Are the video files mpegs2 recorded from a dvr? Those sometimes have to be fixed before you convert them to DVD. I use the quickstream fix on videredotvsuite to keep the audio insync. It has something to do with mpeg video stream time stamp correction.
Could someone please give me the link to update my dvdfabHDdecrypter because the version I have is not working with SawV it just won't rip onto my pc.....I let it try for about 5min. so I assume I need to download the free updated version........Thanks, Mumzee
They are not mpeg files converted. I just used dvd fab to rip to hdd, dvd shrink to shrink to dvd 5, and imgburn to burn the dvd. Was having problems before when i would use shrink to burn the dvd would play jacked up, so i switched burning to imgburn and everything worked fine for a while. I tried to run the dvd through FixVTS but same outcome. The dvd plays fine the sound and all until the last third then it lags behind video.
You ran the dvd or the dvd files thru fixvts? Just want to make sure I understood your posting correctly.
I ran the vob files through Fixvts. I opened fixvts and selected each vob file. I dont know how to run the dvd itself through fixvts it will only let me select vob files.
Ok. Had to ask as you posted that you ran the dvd thru fixvts. I don't know why your files are out of sync, as I have used dvdfab>fixvts>dvd shink>imgburn for all my movies and never had one out of sync.
I run all of my movies through the same process, but i dont use fixvts on a regular basis cause i didnt have any problems until now. Even after using fixvts the audio is still not in sync with the video. The dvd is fine at start of the dvd its towards the last 30 min its starts to slowly fall behind the video. 1) Are u doing full movie or main movie 2) Are you saving the dvd from shrink to hdd as iso or ts folders 3) do you think there are any setting that i could change to help fix this. Thanks all of you for your help and many replies
To answer your questions: 1) Both full disk and main movie 2) Save as .iso and as dvd files. Just depends on what I am doing. 3) Still thinking about your problem. The one thing I didn't ask, are you playing the disks on a standalone player or on your computer? Does it have the same problem on both?
To find which process causing the problem, 1. Play the movie ripped on your HD (before Shrink/FixVTS, and after FixVTS). Then if it is ok, 2. Write Shrink output as Folder on your HD and play, Then if it is ok, 3. Writhe those folder using ImgBurn onto DVD and Play disk on PC (and stand alone DVD player.) Although the burning process shouldn’t be a problem.
(ferguj1) I am playing them on a stand alone dvd player. Its an older portable, going to try to play them on a new one and on the pse to see if there is a difference. (grampyga)Thanks for the suggestion i will give it a try tomorrow. Thanks for all the ideas and time spent.
