I'm getting a little confused with all the different programs out there....Currently I have Shrink to compress and write files to my HD, Decrypter to burn my DVD "backups" with AnyDVD(trial) and DVD43 running in the background. What would adding FabDecrypter do, any good? I'm trying to burn Brothers Grimm, and it's turning into a crusade. I've been told to use FabDecrypter/Decrypter/Shrink. I also tried using VOB, or something similar and tried to "blank out" files, but no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You only need two very simple, and very free, software.DVD decrypter and DVD shrink. Put the original DVD in the drive and have Decrypter read it.Decrypt it to a location of your choosing. After that is done open DVD shrink and have it read the decrypted file.Choose a location to save the shrunk file and if you dont have Nero, have Decrypter burn the resulting .iso.Done in about 1 hour.Hope this helps.

If you have Anydvd running in the background while using Shrink, then you don't need DVDFab Decrypter. Fab is a free ripper program which allows you to rip a movie to your hard drive. Shrink and Decrypter are no longer being updated, but are still great programs and handle most movies by themselves. However, some newer DVD's need newer decryption technology, such as AnyDvd running in the background of Shrink or DVDFabDecrypter. My personnal preference at this time is Shrink and Decrypter. If I have one that these can't handle, I rip it with DVDFabDecrypter first, then use Shrink and DVDDecrypter to burn.
