I have always used DVDDECRYPTER & Clone DVD 2. Due to so many new dvd snags I am looking to update. I tried DVDFABDECRYPTER on Fun With Dick & Jane, it seems to be a good copy. But , why does DVDFAB create a separate audio file ?? Do I need it ??? Is my copy really complete or is it missing some of the audio ? ( it has sound ) Is this a recommended software combo, or ???

you don't need audio file it's always empty. you just need the video_ts folder to back your movie

Free is nice, but the AnyDVD by SlySoft is better (at least as far as function goes), background decrypter plus a ripper that processes for compliance. Add to that the fact that is is kept up to date better than other apps. If you haven't tried the trial before, give it a spin. http://www.slysoft.com/ I'm surprised you didn't get it when you got your CloneDVD 2.

You're welcome. AnyDVD and CloneDVD 2 are favorites for a lot of people and they're easy to use for beginners. DVDFab Decrypter is good freeware, it just doesn't quite stack up to the retail AnyDVD.
