    I tried to burn Charlie & the chocolate factory. dvd decrypter had no problems. When I went to Nero I received a DVD-Video files reallocation failed error. I stopped the process as it also said the disc may not be playable. I haven't had this error before. Here's the Nero 6 log (I haven't updated to 7 because of several negative message both here and on other forums about 7):

    From glancing I say you need to turn on dma and get rid of roxio.
    You me need to uninstall those nvida drivers and use windows drivers to get dma back on.

    Roxio is only there for label making. The nVidia drivers are all set for Ultra DMA mode. I don't know how to turn the DMA back on. Windows Help is worthless.

    - firmware's up to date - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2109

    - see this link here re those pesky 'nvatabus' drivers - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/3/231433#1304083 where kurtp21 found the fix; i think this was for 'nvidesm' drivers but as far as i remember it's the same difference, ie get rid of the nvidia IDE controllers and install standard microsoft drivers

    - this is one of your main problems, something's been done wrong in the ripping stage, ie the resultant DVD files are not dvd-compliant

    - you're doing well having Roxio installed as it tends to interfere with DVD burning etc

    So if I understand you correctly, I should
    1) Whack the nVidia drivers, reboot, and hope WinXP installs its own drivers, and
    2) Whack Roxio label creator, which is the only part of the package I have running.

    I was able to do an ISO rip with no problems. Charlie was the first time I received the error.

    @RealGomer

    Creaky is right. We've seen tons of members having issues with "nvidia drivers" and it is a pain, that's all I can say. In addtion, Roxio is another horrible application, it conflicts with Nero and this is a commonly known issues here at the Nero forum.

    I don't know what to say about the "nvidia drivers" since I don't own any. However, you get get rid of Roxio by going here http://www.downloadjunction.com/product/store/15199 and get Roxio Zapper to completely wipe out Roxio from your system.

    Good luck!!
