dvd formatting

    HI, I COPIED A MOVIE FROM 360 SHARE,WHICH IS A DOWNLOAD SITE,BUT I CAN'T WATCH THE MOVIE ON MY DVD PLAYER ON MY TV.WHAT DO I DO TO FIX IT?DO I NEED TO FORMAT THE CD? IT'S A DVD-R.THANKS!

    Well the first thing you need to do is stop typing in block capitals, see if that helps. :) as far as I am aware you cant format a blank DVD.

    what files types are 360 share? not heard of that?

    what are on the dvdr?

    waht apps were used?

    need more info

    what's the extension on the file you downloaded? (ie:.avi, .ogm, .rar, etc)

    Why do caps bother you?, anyway its not a blank dvd,but has a movie on it.the extension is AVI, i think., and 360 share is a download site, if you type 360 share on your browser you'll be directed to it.thanks.

    You have to re-encode the file before you burn it to watch it on your dvd player. There's a ton of programs that can do this (ie: VSO, avi2dvd, dvd santa, etc)

    Hello, caps are considered shouting on most forums and are only used to emphasis a certain part/parts of replys in threads...

    so you think? it may be an avi yes?

    i will take your word for that on 360 share...

    but as B2D327 says needs sorting first
