Okay so here goes... I had a few .avi files that I converted to dvd through convertxtodvd. Then I burnt those to dvd with ImgBurn. I played them in my laptop and they played fine, but in the player, they would skip frames and freeze near the end. I wish to know why this is happening and how to stop it.
Use high quality media. Some standalone players turn out to be *very* sensitive to the media used. To get an overall idea of the burn quality, download cd/dvd speed and run the disk quality check. http://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Tools/CD-DVD-Rip-Other-Tools/Nero-CDDVD-Speed.shtml
You May be burning Too Close to the Edge of the Disc. Try setting the Target Size to 4300mb. You Could try Burning your Disc at 1/2 The rated speed of your Media. Also your Player May need cleaned.
Tried burning the disk at a lower speed, but it didn't work out. It seems that the avi's that were of a lower quality seem to play fine, even though they occupy a greater space on the disk. Also, this freezing always occurs at the end, near the last 30 - 40 mins. What should I do now ??
