I create home movies for personal; use and I do Wedding Videos for others. I am using Pinnacle 12 Plus for creating and burning the DVD. I burn the original to a DVD-RW to see if any changes are required and pview them . I have three DVD Players in my home. The dvd plays without freezing on my two older players, but it freezes at the beginning on my new Sony BDP-S350(two days old).I use Verbatim DVD-R disks. I cant for the life of me figure out why the DVD plays on one and not the others. All three players according to the manufacturer is able to read DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW.
I viewed a DVD +R that I created three years ago and it plays without incident on my new Sony but does not play flawlessly on the other two.
Any suggestions on what the problem could be.

When I used Ritek disks, some would play on my cheap RCA but not on my expensive Panasonic.
I resolved it by burning only Verbatim and only at 4x.

Try to get some Taiyo Yuden discs. I used to have a problem with Verbatime 2.4x discs, but nothing is guaranteed to play on all players.

I have been using Office Depot and TDK Discs for a long time with no problems. They may be a cheaper alternative but I also like the Taiyo Yuden discs
