dvd help

    my xobx is modded and i copyed dvds to the hdd and i put them in but they dont play why any help

    1. are you trying to play discs or games from a hard drive?
    2. what type of DVD do you use (like Verbatim 8X DVD-R)
    3. how is your xbox modded
    4. what process did you use to burn them. what programs, and at what speed?

    more than one line would help. The more information you give the better the chance will be that someone can help you.

    there dvd movies and i have xbmc with unleash x and i use dvd2xbox to copy the movies to the hdd
    another thing my cds wont play in it any more evan if i go to the ms dash
    im confused

    XBMC can play a lot of file types so i am surprised that they do not work. I have backed up regular movies (with CloneDVD2 as Video TS folder, aka VOB files) and they work fine. I have also created data DVD's with Nero with DivX (AVI) files and i just start up XBMC and pick the disc drive and all the files are there and ready to play.

    so how did you make these DVD's or CD's and what type of files are on them?
    And are you putting them in the correct folder on your hard drive where XBMC can find and play them? Does XBMC even find the files?

    all mine are are ts folder or whater ever i have to play them one at a time i dont know why
